Jean Monnet Program Information Day

On February 28, the Erasmus+ National Office held an information day of the Jean Monnet program in Georgia.
The event was opened by the director of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia, Teimuraz Dochvir. In the opening part, the head of the Department of International Relations and Strategic Development, Kakha Khandolishvili, addressed the audience, who spoke about the support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia to the process of associating with the Georgian program and the activities of the Erasmus+ National Office.
The participants of the event received information about the possibilities of the program, listened and asked questions to Mrs. Edith Genser, coordinator of the European Commission of Jean Monnet, and Mariam Sulashvili, coordinator of the Erasmus+ National Office of Georgia. At the event, the Acting Head of the Cooperation Department of the European Union Representation, Katalin German, also gave a speech, who emphasized the merits of the education sector in the process of Georgia's European integration. In the second part of the event, Georgian beneficiaries shared their experiences within the framework of the Jean Monnet program.
The event was held in both physical and virtual format. The physical part of the event was hosted by the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia.
Jean Monnet Program Information Day
On February 28, the National Erasmus+ Office in Georgia organized the Jean Monnet Program Information Day.
The event was opened with an address by Mr. Teimuraz Dochviri, the Head of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia. During the opening speeches, Mr. Kakha Khandolishvili – the Head of International Relations and Strategic Development, conveyed the endorsement of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia for the association of Georgia with the Erasmus+ Program. This support extends to facilitating the operations of the National Erasmus+ Office in Georgia.
Attendees received comprehensive information about the Program, and had the opportunity to engage in discussions and pose questions to the Jean Monnet Program coordinator of the European Commission, Mrs. Edith Genser, as well as the coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office in Georgia, Ms. Mariam Sulashvili. Mr. Catalin Gherman – Acting Head of Cooperation, EU Delegation to Georgia, was also present at the event. Mr. Gherman highlighted the significance of the education sector in Georgia's European integration process.
During the latter part of the event, Georgian beneficiaries shared their experiences and best practices within the Jean Monnet Programme.
