Raising awareness about Erasmus+: study of Erasmus+ program alliances in Georgia

The European Union project - "Research to assess the feasibility of Georgia's participation in the Erasmus+ program and to develop relevant capacities" - in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia and the Erasmus+ National Office, held 2024 seminars in April 4 in Tbilisi.

The seminars were devoted to the strengthening of the following education sectors with the help of the Erasmus+ program – school education, vocational education and training, adult education, youth and sports. 

The target groups of the seminars were the actors of the education sector of Georgia, who want to promote the integration of Georgia in the Erasmus+ program with further steps:

 

  • Promotion of involvement of education sectors in the Erasmus+ program;
  • Raising awareness of the Erasmus+ program in Georgia;
  • establishing cooperation with other actors and beneficiaries; 
  • Hearing the advice and experience of experts with extensive experience working with the Erasmus+ program. 
  • Two independent workshops were held for the school sector on April 16 and 17. A workshop for vocational education and training and adult education sectors was held on 19 April. And the workshop for youth and sports was organized on April 22.

Erasmus+ Insights: Exploring synergies for Erasmus+ in Georgia

The EU "Feasibility Study to Assess Georgia's Participation in the Erasmus+ Program" in cooperation with the Georgian Ministry of Education and Science and the National Erasmus+ Office in Georgia, organized four workshops in Tbilisi in April 2024.

The aim of the workshops was to foster the participation of Georgian stakeholders in the Erasmus+ Program across the following education sectors: School education, Vocational Education, Adult Education, Youth, and Sport.

The workshops targeted key stakeholders in the Georgian education sectors, who are capable and willing to proactively contribute to further integrating Georgia into the Erasmus+ Program by:

 

  • Strengthening the involvement of education sectors in the Erasmus+ program,
  • Playing a leading role in raising awareness of the Erasmus+ program in Georgia,
  • Establishing cooperation with other actors and beneficiaries,
  • Hearing from experts with extensive experience working with the Erasmus+ program.

For the school sector, two separate workshops were organized, one on April 16 and another on April 17. A workshop for vocational education and adult education was held on April 19, and another for youth and sports took place on April 22
