Applications for capacity building in vocational educational institutions by 2024 (VET 2024) have begun. Learn more about how to apply.

Capacity Building in Vocational Education and Training (CB VET) supports international cooperation projects based on multilateral partnerships between organizations operating in the field of vocational education in EU member states, third category countries that are associated members of the Erasmus+ program and third category countries that are not part of the Erasmus+ program Associate Members.

CB VET aims to improve the relevance, accessibility and responsiveness of vocational education institutions and systems as drivers of sustainable socio-economic development in third countries not associated with the programme.

The budget of CB VET 2024 is 25 euros and it is divided according to regions. 250 euros are allocated for the Eastern neighborhood (region 170) (Belarus is not included in this list of countries).

Important news for 2024 applications (ERASMUS-EDU-2024-CB-VET):

• Links to policy documents (eg regional priorities) are included in the program manual.

• Eligibility criteria have been updated to allow for multiple submissions by the same coordinator.

• The award criterion, "Project design and implementation quality," guideline point "Recognition and verification" of the 2024 program guidelines includes specific tools for recognition and verification of project results.

• Updated rules for eligible expenses have been published: no third party financial support in the form of grants or prizes is allowed for the 2024 call.

The Capacity building in the field of Vocational Education and Training (CB VET) action supports international cooperation projects based on multilateral partnerships between organizations active in the field of VET in EU Member States, third countries associated to the Erasmus+ program and third countries not associated to the Programme.

Its aim is to support the relevance, accessibility, and responsiveness of VET institutions and systems in third countries not associated to the Program, as a driver of sustainable socio-economic development.

CB-VET 2024 has been given a total budget of EUR 25 250 170 divided by regions:

Neighborhood East (Region 2) – EUR 3 599 898 (except Belarus that is not eligible)

Important novelties for the 2024 call (Erasmus-EDU-2024-CV-VET):

• Links to policy documents (eg regional priorities) have been included in the Program Guide.
• Eligibility criteria have been updated to allow for multiple submissions by the same coordinator.
• The award criterion "Quality of the project design and implementation" guiding point "Recognition and validation" the 2024 Program guide includes concrete tools for recognition and validation of the projects' outcomes.
• New updated rules of eligible costs have been published: For the 2024 call, financial support for third parties in the form of grants or prizes is not allowed.
