What is the difference between Webgate and Funding and Tendering Portal (FTOP)?
Webgate and the Funding and Tendering Portal (FTOP) are both management platforms for Erasmus+ programs, although they perform somewhat different functions. Webgate is a platform for European Solidarity Corps and Erasmus+ projects managed by the National Agencies (NA) of the Program Countries. And FTOP is intended for Erasmus+ programs managed by the Executive Agency (European Education and Culture Executive Agency EACEA).
Applicants, affiliated entities and associated partners applying for the Erasmus+ program managed by the European Executive Agency must register on the Funding and Tendering Portal (FTOP) to obtain a Participant Identification Code (PIC). Those who have already been assigned the mentioned code do not need to re-register, since the code once assigned to the institution is valid permanently in the process of managing Erasmus+ programs.
For programs managed by National Agencies (NA), applicants must register with the organization registration system Webgate to obtain an Organization Identification Code (OID) and be able to participate in the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programs. For example, Erasmus+ mobility programs (KA1) are managed by national agencies, respectively through the Webgate platform.
