12/04/2024
Georgia has become a member of the European network "Eurydice Network", which is part of the Erasmus+ program and unites only EU member states and Erasmus+ associated countries.
It is noteworthy that the decision to join the Eurydice Network was made during the official visit of the Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Giorgi Amilakhvari, to Brussels in 2023.
Currently, 40 countries are involved in the Eurydice Network. The network aims to describe and systematically update the education systems of the participating countries, information about which is posted on a single European platform.
The Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia acts as the Eurydice National Office. The country received a grant from the European Union to prepare the Georgian Education System Census.
The Eurydice Network, an information network on education in Europe, was established in 1980 by the European Commission and is one of the strategic mechanisms for strengthening cooperation in the field of education.
The network offers needs-based information to those involved in education policy-making, education service delivery, etc.
The Eurydice Network promotes cooperation between countries through the exchange of information on education policies and produces research on educational issues common to different education systems.
