The Jean-Monnet Higher Education Teaching and Research Program aims to improve teaching and research on the European Union worldwide and to encourage dialogue between academia and the wider community, including at local, regional, national and EU level, policy makers, public between officials, civil society actors, media and representatives of different levels of education. The purpose of this, in turn, is to raise awareness and create appropriate knowledge about EU policies, as well as to strengthen the role of the EU at the global level, including beyond academia and specialized groups, in order to make it possible to bring the essence of the EU closer to society. "Jean-Monnet Teaching and Research in the Direction of Higher Education" also serves the purpose of public diplomacy in third countries and raising awareness about the values of the European Union and making it more visible.
