Jean Monnet Actions (JMA) under the Erasmus+ Program support teaching, research, and debate in the field of European Union studies worldwide, promoting excellence in EU-related academic content and fostering dialogue between academia and society. JMA are implemented through several strands with fixed EU grant ceilings, including up to EUR 35,000 for Jean Monnet Modules, up to EUR 60,000 for Chairs, up to EUR 100,000 for Centers of Excellence, Georgian institutions submitted 124 Jean Monnet proposals, resulting in 44 selected projects and participation in 3 networks, with selection levels in 2021–2027 (22 projects) already matching those of 2014-2020, indicating sustained institutional capacity and continued engagement in EU studies despite a shorter timeframe.
