10/03/2025
Georgia became a member of the European network "Eurydice Network" in 2024, which is part of the Erasmus+ program and unites only EU member states and Erasmus+ associated countries. The network aims to describe and systematically update the education systems of the countries involved, information about which is posted on a single European platform.
The Ministry of Education, Science and Youth performs the functions of the Eurydice National Office and continues its successful activities within the framework of the second grant allocated to the country by the European Union.
In this regard, Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia Baia Kvitsiani held a working meeting, where she discussed the activities implemented by the Ministry and future plans with the participants.
According to Baia Kvitsiani, within the framework of the grant, the description of the Georgian education system will continue and be permanently updated, and in addition, in order to increase accessibility, the information posted on the European network platform will be translated into Georgian.
The Eurydice Network, an information network on education in Europe, was established in 1980 by the European Commission and is one of the strategic mechanisms for strengthening cooperation in the field of education.
The network offers needs-based information to those involved in education policy-making, education service delivery, etc.
The Eurydice Network promotes cooperation between countries through the exchange of information on education policies and produces research on educational issues common to different education systems.
