Challenges and best practices of Georgian higher education institutions in the framework of International Credit Mobility (ICM), Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) and Erasmus Mundus

{29.07.2026}

The aim of this publication is to present the experiences of participating institutions, identify common challenges, share successful practices, and offer recommendations for future applicants.

The results of the study show that successful participation in the Erasmus+ program is based not only on compliance with program requirements and effective project management, but also on trust-based partnerships, institutional commitment, strategic planning, and a long-term vision.

We hope that the experience presented in this publication will help Georgian institutions strengthen international cooperation and contribute to ongoing discussions on the development of higher education in Georgia.
