Procedure for the Recognition of Academic Credits Obtained Through Education Abroad

Recognition of education obtained abroad is carried out by the National Center for the Advancement of Quality in Education (NCEQE).

The purpose of the recognition procedure is to verify the authenticity of educational documents issued by foreign educational institutions and to determine the correspondence of the qualifications reflected in the document or the learning outcomes achieved during the study period with the qualifications existing in Georgia.

In certain cases, the home university may serve as an intermediary between the NCEQE and the student; however, the specific arrangements may vary depending on the institution. Please consult with the relevant office at your home university to confirm whether such support can be provided.

The credit recognition applies to mobility projects including but not limited to International Credit Mobility (ICM).
