TAM Follow-up Webinar

On November 2024, 4, a TAM Follow-up event webinar was organized by the Erasmus+ National Office and the National Team of Higher Education Reform Experts, which was dedicated to the issue of the European University Alliance. The webinar was led by an expert on higher education reform, the head of the Strategic Development and International Accreditation Department of the Caucasus University, Prof. Irma Dzhelidze.

The mentioned webinar aimed to inform Georgian institutions of higher education about the alliance of European universities, specifically, what is this initiative, how it works and what are its results, as well as ways of cooperation and its benefits for Georgian institutions were discussed. This initiative promotes international cooperation between higher education institutions to strengthen education, research and innovation across Europe. 

The event was also attended by other experts and representatives of international relations/integration offices of various higher education institutions. It is also worth noting the fact that the initiative to implement similar alliances at the national level was expressed at the webinar, which will contribute to the deepening of cooperation between Georgian institutions. 

The webinar was the final activity of the TAM-supported SPHERE conference and included the knowledge and experience shared by guest speaker Kevin Guillaume at the September 23-24 online conference.  


TAM Follow-up Webinar 

On November 4, 2024, the Erasmus+ National Office in Georgia and the National Team of Higher Education Reform Experts organized a TAM Follow-up webinar focused on the topic of European University Alliances. The session was led by Higher Education Reform Expert Mrs. Irma Grdzelidze, Head of Strategic Development Department and International Accreditation Office at Caucasus University

The purpose of the webinar was to inform Georgian higher education institutions about the European University Alliance initiative, specifically covering what the initiative entails, how it operates, and its outcomes. Additionally, the session explored pathways for collaboration and the potential benefits for Georgian institutions. This initiative promotes international cooperation among higher education institutions across Europe, aiming to strengthen education, research, and innovation.

The event was attended by HEREs, as well as representatives from the international relations and integration offices of various higher education institutions in Georgia. Notably, the webinar included discussions about implementing similar alliance practices at the national level to enhance collaboration among Georgian institutions.

The webinar served as the concluding activity of the conference held within the framework of TAM with the support of the SPHERE, incorporating insights and experiences shared by guest speaker Kevin Guillaume during the online conference on September 23-24.
